I loved European Legacy Tours from the very beginning. Jolanta and her team were kind and professional even before, during and after our tour. It felt warm and respectful to have them as our guides, and despite the fact that we were in Poland for few days, we learned so much mostly due to their profound and in depth knowledge of the History and culture of the places. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciate that special touch to their travels.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend using European Legacy Tours and I would not use them again. They were pretty disorganized throughout the planning process, and even more disorganized leading up to the day of the tour. So much so that I came very close to cancelling and rescheduling with another tour company. They were very nice, but after so many mistakes and miscommunications, I lost confidence in them.One of their mistakes was with the pickup/drop-off times. Originally, they had planned on picking me up with another group of travelers, but since I couldn’t adjust my schedule 2+ hours later than what we originally agreed upon, they provided a private car and driver in order to abide by our original agreement and transport me separately. And I’m very appreciative for that. Fortunately, the driver not only showed up on time but he was absolutely wonderful. Krzysztof was extremely personable and his driving was impeccable. The car was luxurious. Overall I felt very fortunate, especially for Krzysztof. What a sweet guy. He really saved the day.But, I still can’t recommend a tour company that makes so many mistakes in the planning process. Nice people, but disorganized. Hopefully my experience was unusual. Here are the details of the problem, if you’re interested:I contacted the tour company a few months before my trip. We exchanged a few emails and eventually agreed upon a tour date and times. I was promised a final quote the next day. I didn’t hear from them, so after a few days I reached out and was assured that the quote had been sent, but I must have missed it. So the quote was resent, but the quote was for so much more than what I expected. When I asked about this, it became apparent why I hadn’t received the original quote email. They had confused me with a different traveler (same first name) and the high quote was for this different traveler, different trip. Not a big deal. Mistakes happen, but I also had to repeat a few questions I had asked previously that had not been answered. Still not a big deal. So my questions were answered and we were agreed on tour date and times and the quote. They also asked if I could be picked up at a hotel about 4 blocks from the condo where I was staying, presumably because there was more room for parking on the street in front of the hotel. No problem. Well, a few days before the tour I received an email asking me to confirm the pickup/drop-off times, but the pickup time is now more than 2 hours later than what we originally agreed upon, and the pickup location has also changed to the condo where I’m staying, no longer the hotel. So I’m already in the middle of my trip and we’re going back and forth with emails, which is now getting annoying and a bit frustrating. There’s just no way I could change the times by more than 2 hours. Finally we confirm the originally agreed upon pickup/drop-off times. And, the pickup location is now back to the hotel. Oy. Two days before the tour I received an email confirmation with the name of the driver, his phone number, and a confirmation of pickup time and location. OK. We’re good. Next day I get an email with a slight change to the pickup time (15 minutes earlier) and a confirmation of a different driver and his phone number. At least the pickup location didn’t change again, but when I got to the hotel I noticed that there was no more parking there than in front of the condo where I was staying. Whatever. Working with the other people at EL Tours made me that much more appreciative for Krzysztof. I wish he had been the organizer!

We booked Auschwitz and the Salt mines we were collected from the airport and dropped back to the airport. The seivice was excellent the drivers were really nice and knowledgeable. Thanks for making our trip. Joan
