After having a private tour of Kraków with Private Tours Krakow, I booked a private, two-week tour of eastern Poland. I am writing a novel that takes place in Eastern Poland between 1900 and 1997. I wanted to learn about people, the history, and current events. My trip was a great success.Christopher is an excellent guide because 1. He knows a great deal about Poland’s past and present, 2. His doctoral background in philosophy enables him to discuss important social and historical events beyond just the facts, and 3. his English is up to such challenges. Not to mention the fact that he’s a very nice guy.We toured the country in his Mercedes Benz van was a pleasure and, while I would certainly recommend him for one or two day tours, I think he and his team are exceptionally valuable as friendly, knowledgeable, and thoughtful guides for trips of any duration. Christopher arranged my pick-up at the airport and tours in Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow, and Zakopane. His expertise in the highlights of each city made history come to life. From the Black Madonna to the Salt Mines and Auschwitz everything was top-notch. I went solo on this first trip to Poland, but next time, I will bring my family and use Christopher’s company again.

Our guided tours with Christopher was without a doubt the highlight of our trip to Poland. We live in Chicago, but our ancestors originated from Poland many years ago. Chris not only showed us so much in Krakow and beyond (we also had him take us to Zakopane and Slovakia) but he also taught us a lot about Polish history. He is so knowledgeable about all things Poland related. If you are coming to Krakow, you must book Chris! We can’t wait to visit again someday and see more of Poland with our fav guide.

Christopher was more than accommodating for our full experience of Poland. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and informative of the history of the locations we visited. The guides were on time, courteous, and personable. From the transfer to and from the airport, to Auschwitz and the salt mines, Wroclaw, and last minute arrangements to Zakapane and arranging the transport, hotel, and guide in Gdansk. Also, by chance, meeting one of the most influential world leaders of the 20th century Lech Walesa. Truly an unforgettable experience.

My husband and I took the Krakow 4-hour walking tour with Christopher. He was very personable and his English was impeccable. Our tour was a very informative and interesting morning for us, and we highly recommend it to others, regardless of how much you already know (or don't know) about Krakow.Christopher was very knowledgeable about the history, peoples, culture of Krakow and of Poland in general, but also shared much more than just places, names and dates. He made the tour very enjoyable by inserting stories and anecdotes about many of the places we visited. And, he tailored our tour to our expressed interests and answered our many questions. This tour was a highlight of our 5-day visit to Krakow.

Our tour guide, Anna, gave us a thorough overview of Kracow (and Poland’s) history in an engaging, informative manner. When we asked questions about different periods in history (we are an inquisitive group), she always had a thoughtful response. And, when it started to rain, she gamely continued the tour.

Christopher was an exceptional guide.We booked a private tour specifically to cater for our large family including teens and an 8 year old. We knew there would be some sights on the tour which might be too much for our youngest and we were able to accommodate so he could experience at a level which was appropriate for him. Christpher was knowledgable, polite and gave us insight into Auschwitz as well as Polish history and culture. He also helped with booking a lovely spot for dinner and made arrangements for a last minute tour of the Salt Mines the very next day. Highly recommended.

Christopher arranged everything for us during our 7 days in Poland. I had absolutely no stress because I knew things were handled. He and his colleagues are organized, knowledgeable, attentive, and fluent in English. I highly recommend Private Tours Krakow and will use them again if I return to Poland.

Where to start? This was a very important day, and our experience was outstanding. I had always wanted to go, and the final impetus to finally do so was my teenage son studying the second world war in school and being very interested in history. Christopher was very organised in facilitating our trip in advance, and we ended up going very early in the morning when there were no crowds which added so much to our experience. Christopher is extremely knowledgeable, very easy to talk to, and his English is excellent. We spent the whole day in conversation as we had so much to discuss in relation to Poland and its history. The private guide he arranged for us in Auschwitz-Birkenau was outstanding too - the pace of the tour was perfect. An incredibly moving day that I will always remember, and completely worth the price. Going with a big tour group would have been an entirely different experience. Highly recommend....
