Auschwitz Tour & Salt Mine - AT Cracow

Amazing tour!Charles did great job explaining brief history of both Salt Mine and Auschwitz, while Robert was driving us to them.Even thought things got bit chaotic due the weather, he was able to organize everything so it worked out as smoothly as possible.Highly recommend!

I signed up for the tour two days before and everything was so well informed and organized. I finally was in Charles's group and he was a very friendly and responsible guide. I like how much interesting facts about Auschwitz he gave about the history in WWII along the journey. The tour is well planned in a moderate pace. We were given breaks so that was not too much even I visited Auschwitz and Salt Mine on the same day. A very good experience indeed!

Harrowing, Educational, Interesting and shameful. None of these really do justice to understanding Auschwitz. My second visit (20+ yrs since my last visit). My partners first. Our guide was superb. Headphones brilliant, as understandably there's a need for quiet respect here. The museum holds no punches, rooms are 'furnished ' as they were in use (but of course there's no possible way to demonstrate the lack of hygiene, washing, thousands of people squeezed in etc. ) The tortures used explained, visible and horrendous. But, in my opinion, an essential visit, which should be on every schools history curriculum.The Salt Mines - we did on the same day. Absolutely brilliant. Again, we had a superb guide, witty, knowledgeable and fun. There's a great deal of walking, so a certain level of fitness is required. Several hundred steps down, and a lift back up. Amazing sculptures, amazing tunnels, and amazing history. Highly Highly recommended to visit. Underground lakes, miles of mining tunnels, a fabulous experience.

It was a very nice tour. A lot of interesting things to see.Our guide Charles was very nice and helpful.The only negative thing was that we were quite unlucky with a lot of traffic jam. So the whole tour became very long. 12 hours. And I was very tired in the end.

This review is not for the tour at Auschwitz. The facility and tour guide were very good. This is for AT Cracow, the company responsible for transport to and from the museum. They were not very professional to deal with. They tried to give me a different pick up location than requested. Also. The time you request for pickup wont be the time they actually give you. You don't find out when and where they are picking you up until 5pm the night before your tour. There is a chance that they cancel the tour altogether. Please note, they will not drop you off at your pick up location either. They will drop you off at another location and you have no choice in the matter. We were also dropped off an hour later than the tour website specified, so don't make any plans after the tour because who knows when you are getting back. I'd suggest going with a different transport company to get to Auschwitz.

Amazing guide & company. Very informative the whole day & gave us loads of stories about the history of Krakow as we made our way to the tour. Charles was our driver & was very welcoming, accommodating and kept us entertained both ways to & from. 10/10 - can’t recommend enough.
