Ok so this isn't the flashest museum, but the Poles are keeping our history alive. Well worth the visit for this of the British allies from WW2, chances are one of your country men took place in the Great Escape and were executed after capture. A sobering place, interesting, thoughtful. Thankyou Poland from New Zealand

Pretty good museum. The staff wasn't very attentive the day we went but that can be a good thing, seeing as they left us to explore by ourselves. There is a portion of the museum that we didn't know about until another patron informed us. There is a part in the woods where the camp and tunnel actually were about 1km away through the woods. If you drive, there is a road sign for Tunnel Harry. You can also walk through the woods to get there.

Unfortunately it is closed on a Monday, the day we went. But the whole sits is excellent, be warned of unprotected ,(dangerous) deep holes and underground structures.

This is an extraordinary place. If you've seen the movie 'The great escape' then you will really want to visit here. The sense of actually being there where it took place is enormous! Be prepared to walk into the forest at site of the camp.
