Thames British School (Wlochy Campus)

Don't waste your time. I recently wrote in having some inquiries about sending my child here. Just getting any kind of response is hard enough, but then, you'll receive a response which doesn't even address or fully answer your questions. I have attempted numerous times to get into contact with the admissions team, as well as the high school director, in both cases have received lackluster and paltry responses, often with significant delays and/or simply no response of any sort, to the point I have just given up. If this is the kind of attentively they give to people willing to pay to send their children here, one can assume the level of oversight and standard of education cannot be higher. Since September 29, 2021, I have been trying to communicate with the school, which was clearly a waste of effort and proved frustrating and fruitless. Students are the future and should be backed by teachers and staff members who put them first. They are not putting any prospective students first by being blatantly inattentive. Save yourself the headache and constant uphill battles simply for getting any kind of response from Thames.----The owner of the school replied to my previous review here BLATANTLY lying in their comment both to myself AND the public who may read these reviews. As it seems, this school is willing to do anything to ruin someone else’s credibility in an attempt to save their own and continue to earn money.However, for those who do read these reviews and are interested in sending their child to a reputable, trustworthy school, I suggest you look elsewhere. They school has been nothing more than trouble, and ALL of my and my husband’s questions HAVE DIRECT CORRELATION to the academic process and wellbeing of students and POTENTIAL students of Thames, my child included. Commenting that our questions “were not related to academics”, is false and completely misleading. Furthermore, as being “Thames British School”, it certainly does not behave and respond in a manner consistent with Western education values and beliefs, values of which Thames has on their own website, purporting they support. Perhaps a change to the name “Thames Turkish School” should be in order, given the nature in which our questions were so willingly dismissed as being “non-academic” in nature. Assuming, as you said, you were “referring the questions to the relevant departments”, I would imagine they must have reached your Bulgarian leader/ever-elusive figurehead, and her Turkish associates for review. Western education would wholeheartedly disagree with that comment.As an experienced pedagogist myself, my communication with school administrators, and in turn, administrators who also teach students at the school, I have deep concerns over the overall education level the students there are receiving, as well as the money parent’s are spending. The other concerns we brought up to the school are also DIRECTLY concerning Thames British School, where we were considering sending our child until finding today that Thames decided it would try to disparage and try to damage MY credibility. Should the school wish to carry out further dialogue, like mature and responsible adults, they are more than welcome to. However, as they have struck our last nerve, any parents on the fence about sending their children to this school is more than welcome to reach out to me. I’d be happy to share all of the details and documents, photos/audio recordings posted online by students, which one may find a bit troublesome, seeing the way some staff members toward students and administrators toward students, parents, and staff, in which I questioned the school about which I found concerning, and wanted them to address before making a decision to send our child there.My husband and I simply wanted some explanations. Instead, “the owner” decided to attempt and brush me and my comment off while discrediting me during the process. Shady and malicious, an absolute travesty for a so called educational institution.

Friendly environment. UK qualified teachers are working. Cambridge and IB curriculum is followed with high standard educational technologies. My daughter is happy to study there. Polecam.

I do not recommend. Some of the rudest, most inconsiderate and unhelpful staff members I have ever encountered before. There's also no organization and nobody there seems to know what is happening or who to direct you to if they don't have an answer. On the plus, they do speak English, but it is far from perfect. Hopefully the teachers have better English than the rest of the staff.

My three children studied in this school since 2018 to 2022. School contributed a lot and my elder completed his IB diploma and is studying in renowned University of Warszaw Poland. I am thankful to Dyrektor Aldona and her team of teachers.
